Welcome to the Theory in Practice Conference 2027

Theory in Practice Conference 2027 brings together researchers, educators, students, and business professionals to share ideas, build connections, and explore solutions to today’s global challenges.

The conference theme, Bridging Sustainability and Responsibility Across Business, Society, and Technology, highlights the growing need for sustainable and responsible mindsets and approaches in organizations, communities, and technological development.

Join us at Jamk Main Campus in Jyväskylä on 24-25 March 2027 for inspiring keynote speeches, research presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities that connect theory with practice.

Conference objectives

The conference aims to:

  • provide a platform for academics, corporate professionals, and students to share and exchange their knowledge.
  • encourage discussions, discourses, and dissemination of different, albeit interconnected ideas for the knowledge creation and dissemination.
  • facilitate academics, corporate professionals, and students to connect with each other as well as their peers to network and collaborate.
  • promote co-creation and co-innovation.
  • provide opportunities to student-researchers to develop a researcher’s mindset through their exposure to research protocols, objective thinking, critical perspectives, and constructive criticism.

Participants

The conference welcomes faculty members, educators, experienced and early-career researchers, higher education students, alumni and business professionals. Representatives of national and international academic and professional networks are also warmly invited to participate, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Both academic and professional networks at national and international levels are expected to contribute to the conference’s success.

TiP2027 Conference will explore how sustainability and responsibility can be integrated across business, society, and technology. Bringing together researchers, educators, students, and professionals, the conference will highlight emerging research, innovative practices, and collaborative approaches that bridge theory and practice in addressing contemporary global challenges.

The 2027 conference is organised by Jamk University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with University of Jyväskylä and E³UDRES².
