Call for extended Abstracts

The international Theory in Practice Conference 2026 warmly welcomes researchers, teachers, practitioners, and business professionals to contribute to the dialogue on how organizations can thrive in the face of global change. The conference theme, Futureproof Business, highlights strategies, practices, and innovations that enable long-term success in uncertain and dynamic environments.

The submissions are invited under two categories:

  • Peer-reviewed articles: extended abstracts from all conceptual, analytical, and empirical perspectives
  • Expert articles: case studies, practice-based articles, and development projects that demonstrate how organizations implement futureproof strategies in real contexts

Extended abstracts for peer-reviewed articles are invited in, but not limited to, the following areas:

Resilient and sustainable Business

How can organizations remain competitive and sustainable in the face of global uncertainty?

Digital Tranformation, AI, and Data-Driven Management

How does technology reshape business models, decision-making, and competitiveness?

Inclusive Leadership, Human Capital, and Innovation

How can organizations remain competitive and sustainable in the face of global uncertainty?

Authors are encouraged to submit their latest research, case studies, and technological advancements aligned with the conference theme and topics.

We welcome submissions for extended abstracts for expert articles from both researchers and practitioners who wish to share deeper practical insights, lessons learned, and evidence of impact.

Submission guidelines

Extended Abstracts:
Peer-Reviewed Articles
Extended Abstracts:
Expert Articles

The extended abstract should provide enough details so that the Organizing Committee and Finnish Business Review’s editorial board can evaluate the potential quality of your completed paper and the interest of the conference participants in your presentation. An extended abstract is expected to include the following details in English:

  • Proposed area of the paper (Resilient and Sustainable Business Strategies / Digital Transformation, AI, and Data-Driven Management / Inclusive Leadership, Human Capital, and Innovation
  • Proposed paper title
  • An introduction that specifies the context and motivation of the submission
  • A clear description of the specific contributions of your work
  • A summary that highlights results. References, if appropriate.
  • Must be around 600 words, approximately 2 pages.
    • File format: Microsoft Word (doc/.docx).
    • Margins: Left, top, and bottom – 20 mm; right – 10 mm.
    • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point size, single spacing, paragraph indent – 10 mm.
  • Submission should be double-blind, please remove the author information

Publication opportunities: Accepted papers will be considered for publication in the Finnish Business Review, a peer-reviewed journal (A1) focusing on management, strategy, finance, marketing, human resources management, supply chain management, digital business, entrepreneurship, and innovations
